Hyundai Motor on Tuesday unveiled Korea’s most expensive vehicle ever. The limousine version of the Equus luxury sedan tops out at nearly W150 million (US$1=W1,187) and is available with a choice of two engines, a 3.8-liter V6 (W135 million) or a 5.0-liter Tau V8 (W146 million). The Tau V8 model fetches W150 million when including the optional reclining rear right seat. Until now, Korea’s most lavish vehicle was the Equus VS 460 with full options selling for W114.9 million. Of the over 300 models of imported cars available in Korea, only about 10 (not including super-luxury vehicles such as Maybach and Rolls-Royce) are more expensive than the Tau-powered Equus limo.
